NineGaps

privacy

NineGaps collects no data about you. Nothing you do in the game is sent to us or to anyone else.

Effective 28 October 2026. Applies to NineGaps for iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad, version 2.0 and later.

What we don't do

What the app keeps, and where

To work, NineGaps stores a few things on your device:

If you are signed in to iCloud, your best times, results and streak are also kept in your own iCloud account, so they follow you between your iPhone and iPad. That copy is stored by Apple under your Apple Account, and we cannot see it. To stop it, turn off iCloud for NineGaps in the Settings app.

Deleting the app removes what it stored on the device. Resetting your best times in the app's settings clears them on every device signed in to the same iCloud account.

Sharing your result

When you share a result, the app opens the network or share sheet you choose with a short text: the puzzle number and level, your time, hints and streak, and a grid of squares showing how each square was filled, never the numbers. What happens after that is between you and that service.

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. They contain no personal information, and you can turn this off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

Children

NineGaps is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, children included.
